Amazon Prime Music is now available for free, but with few conditions

Amazon has introduced a new option of hearing songs from Amazon Prime Music. You can hear songs from Prime for free, without Prime Subscription. This is a new tier added to the subscription option.

Of course, there’s nothing in this world, available for free, likewise, this isn’t fully free, but partly, it is. Like to difference, Prime Music is as same as Spotify. As in, you’ll have to bear with the ads in between, while hearing your favorite precious songs. One good news is that there’s no limit for hearing songs. You can hear as many songs as you want. You totally have unlimited access to songs of various artists and albums. The bad news that follows is that you can play it only with Amazon’s smart speaker Echo or with Alexa supported device.

One irritating aspect that follows everything is that you cant select what song to be played. You can just ask Alexa to play songs according to your favorite artists, and it will generate a playlist according to its wish and plays on its own. You can assist Alexa on what kind of songs needs to be played and it plays according to its wish.

This feature of partially free subscription of Prime Music and Alexa playing songs from Prime Music is limited only to the United States, as of now.

Following methods can be used to enjoy free on Alexa enabled devices:

  • “Alexa, play country music” to listen to a station of the popular in the genre.
  • “Alexa, play 80s music” to listen to a station packed with music from the era.
  • “Alexa, play the playlist Pop Culture” to listen to the ultimate global playlist for today’s pop music.
